The tranny is not complicated, any good transmission shop can do it. Your
problem is finding one that will remove and install it in a Vanagon! You
may need to find a VW shop to do the R & R and they will send it out to the
rebuilder. Or order one from German Transaxle and have the VW shop install
it.
