Subject problem seemed to go away with warmer weather here in middle Georgia. Â However, last week the problem reappeared. Â This past Thursday afternoon, I drafted my Son (almost 18) to help me troubleshoot the problem. Â We started with the Bosch WR1 starter relay that I had installed in 1999 to solve the won't start when hot problem. Â I had mounted relay under rear seat on the raised portion of the floor. Â Found both the ground wire (yellow) was not mounted securely and the connector on the end of the blue wire (connects to red/black wire from ignition switch) was loose. Â Remounted ground wire and and replaced connector on end of blue wire. Overnight temperature was around 40F. Â Van started fine this morning. John |
