When I rewired my 1966 Mustang, I used a couple of these distribution/lugs. Expensive, but makes wiring super easy.

I need to put a couple in the Westy now that I think about it.

I don't even try to use those grounding crowns, as a push-on spade terminal is just a weak way to make a connection.

Weak and cheap. You won't find them on high quality cars from the same era. Not on a Mercedes or Volvo, for example.

they can only deteriorate with time, heat, corrosion and current flow. I've found tons of loose and 'too old' ones on VW's.

A good ground connection for me is like this ( which I discovered and learned about on a 1970 Renailt 16 car's tail light grounds ) ..

'eye' type crimped terminal on the wire end. Sheet metal screw into the body. and the final touch ...a 'star' multi-point washer betwixt eye terminal and body metal. ( like with 10 jagged points on it ) Such a connection will provide a great ground for a good long time. Might want some dielectric grease there too.

Did you know you can just manage to squeeze the bigger T4 grounding crown

in to replace one of the stock crowns on the drivers side wall of van near

fuse panel?

Well you can :-)
