The way I do it in my shop is to remove the lower rad hose at the pipe connection and have a container ready to catch what comes out. Remove the expansion tank cap after you have disconnects this hose. After the coolant has stopped draining, remove that hose from the rad. I then install a similar hose that I have inserted a T fitting with another those attached to the T that lead to a shut off valve. Place the end of that hose into a container to collect the coolant. Install an old cap on the expansion tank that has the valve broken out of it. Attach an air line to that cap and blow out the coolant with air pressure. Make sure the two heater valves and bleeder on the thermostat housing are open. Run the engine for a brief time to make sure all the coolant gets out of the engine. Drain and flush the overflow tank by dropping the hose from it down below the engine into a container. You can then use the same set up to flush the system with fresh water and then blow all that out so you have a completely empty system to fill afterwards.
