Cut it off and throw it away. The confused your wire set with a set for the air cooled engines. Serves no purpose on the Waterboxer.

there's a large rubber ring on the spark plug wire...


that's that for? Should I push it all the way in against the the spark plug hole or let it hang about 4" from the hole? Pro and con?
