Stephens points are good. The seats I'm putting in my friends van are from 2015 town and country, and I think that should be noted. I have no idea how earlier seats work in the vanagon.
And if I sounded subdued about how I think the seats feel it's only because I'm not one for hyperbole. Well not when it comes to seats :)
The seats were unused, in great shape. They look very sharp in the van, they do not look out of of place at all.
And at 150 a piece, they are a bargain.
I'd have them in my van with no hesitation.

I also own an '05 Dodge Caravan (Town and Country clone) with the original version of Stow 'N Go. It's important to know that you want the later seats, from the '09-and-later vans and not the earlier ones. These are okay but feel that comfort was sacrificed for the handiness of folding; if they could be fitted it would not be worth the trouble. I recently sat in the back of a new van and those seats are much better, a different shape entirely, so those are the ones you want.
