Dan, I actually will work however you would need to install the 2.1l air flow meter onto the 1.9l air box and it requires a modification to where it attaches to the box if I remember correctly. I did this as a test many years ago when you could get 2.1l Air Flow Meters brand new for super cheap to see if it would work on a 1.9l in thoughts of selling them to list members. However then the really cheap 2.1l AFMs immediately dried up and the whole test became moot. HTH. Of course if it was me, since you are going to have to either get a good used unit or a rebuilt unit, I would just get one for the specific engine and not do the mod. I really don't think one is any easier to get than the other at the moment.
