Did you ever replace that fuel tank?  I'd get a fuel pressure gauge at the closest auto parts store (or Sears) and test the pressure, easy to do on the road, but you'll likely have to cut the hose and clamp it to fit it over the test port. Leave enough hose on the fitting you cut off so you can couple it back together for other cars.

We're on the road and ran into an odd problem while on our way to Newport, OR.

While driving, the engine stalls. I pull over and I can fire it up again like there's nothing wrong. She'll run another 15 or so miles then it happens again. If I floor it while it's in this state, she bucks like a bronco.

We're at South Beach State Park and don't leave for Bend, OR until Sunday.
So today's the day I have to solve this or it's going to be a very eventful drive home.

Ideas?
