Since Don has a "diesel Vanagon" 5 speed there are less expensive r&p
set options for him if it comes to that. Here, brand new for $100,
slightly lower gearing.

Also since he has a fairly undesirable one to begin with he should be
able to find another good used one for much less than the more desirable
ones cost. He has a 5.43
