Anything that raises the voltage of the main battery will cause this relay to activate and connect the aux battery same as the alternator does. In many RV applications the main advantage of using an ACR is that a charger-power supply connected to the house batteries will also charge the chassis battery. The 1315 definitely does that. I am not sure of the 1314. It is easy enough to connect the charger to the house battery and test its operation.

hi Dennis,

according to the manual the 1314 will charge the aux. battery when the voltage reaches 13.5V. The question is if use a charger like this one on the main battery

http://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/battery-charger/schumacher-10-2-amp-fully-automatic-manual-battery-charger/988_0_0/?checkfit=true

the aux. battery will be charged too or only the main battery..

thanks
