As I removed the transmission from my inline VW-powered Vanagon, it slipped off the Jack and got caught on the coolant supply for the rear heater. In an inline, that's a hose from the front of the head, with a right angle Bend and shaped like a horn. This hose was repaired over 4 yrs ago using Rescue Tape. The hose took the full weight of the head, it was hanging there while I schooched-out from under and grabbed a big block of wood to slip under it. After that, the tape was STILL holding! I have an aftermarket replacement that I never used, as backup. |
