I should have told you about this tool earlier:  http://www.sears.com/cable-operated-hose-clamp-pliers/p-00949803000P  There are some places where you have to rotate the clamp with pliers for it to fit, but this tool has worked well for me, and saves a lot of aggravation.

Installed:
-New cooIant pump.
-Four, new, small-bore hoses pieces on and around the pump.  (the old ones were, in order: cracked, puffy, shredded, and leaking) -Two new stainless small bore pipes. (the one going to the T-stat valve was
rusty.)

Painted with Por 15:
-Cross over pipe.

Sum-up:  That was a silly job.

The only things I liked about the job:
-the way the front grill comes off and goes back on.
-Frank Condelli (he shipped my order 15 minutes after I placed it and got it into my hands in less than 24 hours.  THANKS FRANK!!!!)

If you care to know...
I had tough time with the strangest things...
-spring clamps!!!!  Caused me 4 hours of diddling in the middle of the night; and possibly some quality issues.
-that darn cross-over pipe -- got it all scratched up just as soon as I had it so beautifully painted with Por 15.
go figure.
