Sounds like a dead battery to me. Sitting for a year and a half will kill most batteries. They look like they take a charge, but it doesn’t hold. Try swapping a good battery before you dive deeper.

I am in Europe with my ‘86 Westfalia. It was sitting for a year and a half and besides I had to charge the batteries again, the only one thing is not working properly is the turn signal. As I switch on there is a momentary flash and then nothing. It is not blinking. Both sides it does the same. I left it on for a few more seconds but I was not sure if I may not cause some overheating of an electrical item. I’m guessing, there is a relay. But my thinking would say, that it should not fail because of not being used for a long time. I can’t guess what is the number on that relay. Anyone had any experience with this? Zoltan
