Stumped ? ... 'Mystified'...... perhaps since it 'shouldn't be happening' ..

I'd say it's fiar to say 'stumped' after ALL diagnositics and inspections and tests that can be thought of have been performed..and there still is no explanation.

I liked the idea of drive it a bit, try an ATF trans additive ..I like Prolong .. and ...X something ..right .....TransX .

I've had an auto trans work again using that stuff.

You're Sure the Valve Body has actually been cleaned ? I think you mean the filter screen was replaced.

Valve bodies are complex tricky things . German Transalxe sells rebuilt/refurbished ones. and that's only after they run it in a trans on a dyno . there are little adjustments to do ..look in your Bentley manual.

also as mentioned, there are ports on the side of the trans for measuring pressures ....regular diagnotic procedures. study your Bentley some to get an idea.

it only takes something leaking and not sealing right, or a blockage of a passage ..

as for things to check .. as mentioned it's easy to inspect the governor weights under the round cover on the left side of the trans .. doubt you'll find anything there, but it's easy to take the cover off, and pull out the gov weights thingey.

just occurred to me to send a sample of the ATF out for Oil Analysis . if it's pretty fresh and clean may not reveal much though.

how about free movement of throttle cable, and lever on side of trans ( throttle cable goes to that, not throttle body ) and adjustment/'free movement of rod from lever to throttle body ?

Basically ...you and your mech want to get down to .. is it something external to the trans ..you are Sure it's really in D and not the next gear down when the lever is in D ? ..for example...

so, something external.. or something fluid related . or it's internal to the trans ...at which point it gets pretty intense and specialized.
