Subject: '85 Vanagon Westy For Sale
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

Our ’85 Westfalia is completely equipped with the tilt top, refrigerator, stove, etc.  It was delivered new in Pasadena,CA, with automatic transmission and integrated in-dash air conditioning.  It has remained in this area and is completely rust free. I carefully completed a Tiico engine conversion in 2003 when the car had gone 87,000 miles because a couple of head bolts had snapped on the original water boxer engine, and I preferred to go with the in-line replacement kit.  I also installed an A2 fuel rail and a 3-wire Ox sensor.  There have been absolutely no vibration problems and the car runs very smoothly with more power than the original.  We use only 91 octane fuel because of the high compression of this engine and set the spark advance 8 deg BTC at 1400 RPM.  The car has just passed the California emissions test for its new license registration. The car is top condition with no wear on the upholstery and perfect pearl white paint (see attached photos on request).  It now has only 103,000 total miles on it and we have decided to sell it because we no longer use it much.  We have outlived the friends we used to travel and camp with, and our children and grandchildren are far away. Price: $12,000.  This includes a complete set or remote outside mirrors, wire harness and switch from a later model Vanagon, which I never got around to installing.
