Subject: Tips on preparing drivers side lock
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Lock repair tips requested.

I’ve noticed recently that my driver’s side lock felt different. No clear click feeling when locking and unlocking the door with the key. today the lock doesn’t move when the key is turned.

I will take the panel off to inspect tomorrow but was hoping folks could give me some tips on what to expect or look for. Unfortunately, being blind, this is one of those times when not being able to see diagrams or pictures will be a disadvantage. I’m hoping to feel out the problem. tips on what to look for or possible repair needed appreciated. At this point not only does the key turning not do anything but the lock will not go up or down from the inside either. luckily it is stuck in the unlocked position so the door opens and shuts normally.

Key turns but feels a bit unusual like it is rubbing something and there is no click of the lock.

this is a manual lock never electric.

Again tips appreciated.

Eric Caron 85 GL Auto.
