I think what happens is that in the winter, there is snow and ice on the back hatch and the rear wiper and someone tries to use it to clear that. I have seen the wiper motor itself with a burn spot on it. You would think it would just blow a fuse rather than do this kind of damage. Is the motor still good or toast?
