Can't find any appreciable difference between old and new drums. New drum maybe 0.5 mm wider? Measuring from outermost edge to inside face that meets axle hub flange Could be I over torqued the axle nut slightly (I'm in denial about my actual body weight? Haha.) or that and combonation of paint made this happen. Marks are very minor and I see very little of those marks on other side. It is odd that the from all but destroyed that plug. But then how many Vanagons actually have that part installed anymore? Neil.
