The OEM hose has a spiral bead in it and the nipple on the tank is threaded
to match. In other words, it screws on. It will be hard to seal any other
hose on this threaded nipple. RV shops and Go Westy sell the correct hose.

Update ,
I now have cleaned the water tank , new supply hose, new sanitized hose to
the sink. I filled the water tank up 3/4 full just above the intake on the
poly tank. Drove around to Lowe's and back 90 miles Just To find out that
the large hose from outside to the inside of tank leaks. This hose is about
1 -7/8" OD x 1" in width And fairly new. What happened was the large clamp
on the poly tank cannot get a good tight seal, hence water with Clorox
inside the cabin now. Should be pretty clean now.
Question? Is there a better clamp solution that I'm missing ? My fear is
that if I really tighten that 13 mm nut/bolt I'll crack the poly fill pipe.
Any suggestions?
Should I change the clamp to a smaller in width unit?

bleach and running some of the water through the line to the faucet. Let it
sit for 12 hours, run some more water through the lines to the faucet, and
let sit another 12 hours. Then, we refill the tank and flush as many times
as warranted. This water is used for washing dishes, etc. but not for
cooking or drinking.

drivers seat since we never used that table. For the last 20 years we have
placed either the 2 gallon disposable water containers you find at grocery
stores, or 2.5 gallon water container I bought years ago at Wal-Mart in that
space with the spigot hanging over the edge. We have refilled the
disposable containers at campgrounds but that was iffy so I bought the 2.5
reusable one. We refill it at campgrounds and when we know we are going to
be dry camping for many days, we buy the 2 gallon jugs of water at Wal-Mart
or whatever grocery store we are around and refill our container with that
water when needed. We have taken several 3+ month trips to BC, Yukon,
Alaska, numerous shorter trips, and have never had a problem with water
sickness.

sink faucet which I use as drinking water also. I came down with something
as we traveled through Ontario camping. I think I did this wrong. In fact I
may not have done anything with the water only filling it up trying to get
out of town, ugh!
