Dennis, the proper sized hose should fit tightly enough with the proper
clamp. I don't recall the hose size without going and looking, but yours
sounds considerably bigger than I recall -- probably more like 5/8".
Remember, bleach is corrosive, so you might want to check that spillage and
rinse with fresh water.
