Apparently VW made some changes in 1988? Shows the relay without the diode even. Or an error? Though this is a 86 Digifant, it names the ECU relay as a "Digijet" . Hmmm-I'm not familar with the changes year to year.
On page 97.124 it also shows the 86 also has a connection with the injectors and O2 sensor.
Seems strange that 87 and 86 would both be connected to the same loads.Bentley errors?Or things beyond our understanding?

Hi Robert.
Track 32 Bentley P. 97.89 shows a "26" junction which is a "plus
connection in Digifant
harness". That junction also feeds fuel injector +, FP relay 86.
The black junction dot on track 30 is hard to see.
