back in the 80's my brother had VWs and lived in Boston. he would put a stock fog light switch in an empty switch location on the dash and wire that to a kill switch on the ignition coil. when the key is in the start position, the ignition would get power and act like it was starting but as soon as you let the key back to run it woudl stall. I believe that is a function of the load reduction relay. How did the thieves of this syncro get it to drive? Edward
