..... And in the 1988 1989 main diagram p 97.124 I now see the diode referred to earlier. The likes of Mark Drillock and David B have written about that relay.

87 of the ecu relay supplying switched positive to 86 of fuel pump relay, is somewhat misleading. The fuel pump relay is energized via a switched ground from the ecu.

In my later (latest?) edition of Bentley the ecu relay is correctly labelled p 97.124
