Shouldn't normally be an issue like this. warped pan ? sure want to check that. also make sure it's flat around the bolt holes...like tap things flat there again. and ..this sure should work ..THE RIGHT STUFF .. the most excellent quicly-curing black sealant.. perfect for differential covers ..no gasket needed even. I'll never be without some of that great stuff around. get it in the grease gun style, not the aerosol.
