During heavy acceleration going into 3rd at 45 mph is a bit early. Test the kick down function. Up shift should be delayed until just over 5,000 rpm. Get the Bentley and follow the instructions for stall testing the torque converter. Poor acceleration is often due to a bad converter or engine performance problem. The adjustment of the rod between the transmission and throttle is critical for proper shift points and the kick down function.

It runs, it accelerates, it goes in reverse and all three forward gears, it shifts smoothly, going up a grade I feel a firm surge as it shifts to third around 45mph (firm as in wbx firm, meaning I lose a bit of acceleration). No fluids streaming from tranny, diff, or TC.

I forgot to try the kickdown on that hill...

To this unpracticed eye, it looks like a successful refresh of wearables in my AT. Oh I'm happy, yes.

Is there anything I should try or look out for?
