I have a low cost backup camera installed on mine.

The screen is inside a 2nd "rear view mirror" which clips over your proper one.

A bullet camera (about 1cm diameter) is installed just above where the number plate can fold down for access to the engine. A nice discreet hiding place.

It is probably one of these: https://www.soundmatch.co.za/categories/shop/854/universal-reverse-cameras?category=854

What I really want is to build a blindspot camera as mine is a panel van. The screen I have can take two inputs. Has anyone achieved this? Infrared LEDs are needed so the challenge is finding a small enough camera.

I've seen sensor-based after market systems too, but I'm not wanting to spend > $100
