I'm curious as to what is really being done as part of that "refurbishment". If it is clean, sand, prime and paint that is not a refurbishment. As an ASME stamped pressure vessel all repairs and tested/Inspected must be dome or at least someone with the certifications to so. Often this is known as getting as "R" stamp. This is commonly done with larger tanks and boilers, steam coils etc. 

These small tanks are really inexpensive and replacement is in order. As some of you remember I had mine fail about 3 years ago at a propane filling station. As the fire department arrived with 5 trucks things got scary. 

After the event was over and the tank empty I was asked a whole bunch of question, many which needed follow after I returned home. Luckily my tank still had the ASME tag attached and the fire chief knew to look for it. I also had to get documentation that this tank was installed by the OEM. 

The propane system as small as it is it not something to be taken lightly or have short cuts. The installation is covered under a number of codes and in our Westy has to follow requirements for dwellings and recreational vehicles.

Can anyone send/post a source for the various fittings for the OEM LPG tank?  I've replaced the regulator and T but would prefer to replace the overflow valve, shutoff and any others while after mine is refurbed.
