The high pressure hose is known as a -6, approximately 3/8". This hose should be crimped. R-134a like to leak and it is normal for this hose to operate between 200 and 300 psi. It is a bit of work but especially at this age it would be best to replace it.

I need to repair one of the hoses from the compressor to the condenser and will have to put a section of aluminum splice pipe. Does anyone know the inner diameter of the A/C hose?

Thanks.
