Speaking of PVC, I found that 1/2" electrical conduit fit nicely in PVC "T's"

It was a hack job as the angles were tough to figure but I still think it's a somewhat cromulent possibility. I had it up in some strong winds while camping at Trout Creek in OR but took it down; "the wind always wins" as they say.
