So I've seen a thread or two on the modern 'float' or 'Auto-Stop' valves and it appears the new tanks sold by GW don't include them. Regardless of whether the law is ambiguous or not safety is my main concern. It seems the bleeder valve is redundant if one has an Auto-Stop/Float type fill valve. Ferrellgas here won't pressure test my refurbed tank unless it has an AS/Float fill valve. What is the consensus here as to whether the the newer AS/Float Fill valves are really needed?
