that's the reflection of another cars wheel in the paint, the panel is straight. i talked to the guy on the phone for about 30 mins or so, its close enough for me to look at..i live near it. He said there are no rust issues but the clearcoat is dead from the sun. the paint is funky on pass side slider and behind it from a bad respray from the typical sliding door swipe at the bottom which was repaired. His dad bought it new from jim wynn vw... then he gave it to his grandson to drive, hence the stickers etc. he never drove it in the winter though...so it doesn't have the seam rust ...but it did sit outside. Since it has has been inspected regularly here in Pa you can do a carfax on it and you can verify the mileage which he said was actual. He said you can drive it home, tho it needs some exhaust work... bottom line is it needs a paint job if you want it perfect.. but its a low mileage westy.. and for $7500 it seems like a deal to me. |
