Just fixed a very long term intermittent problem on my '84 Westy. Typical intermittent loss of power and rough idle, then back to normal. After changing everything on the likely list, I discovered that #1 cyl wasn't contributing its fare share of the work which led me to remove the fuel injector leads and put them on the other injector or something like that. I eventually concluded that there was something wrong with the connector so I replaced it and the problem is gone, hopefully, finally, for a long time. This is usually the case when someone thinks they fixed an operating problem by replacing the temp 2 sensor. Simply wiping the contacts or moving the wires where crimped in those connector terminals did the fix. > > |
