I've never applied any sealant between starter and clutch housing but then
I'm not a professional mechanic.

I just play one on TV.  LOL.    ;)

Googling that sealant PN, I got hits for using that stuff on various VW parts
Seems it might be an anaerobic type of sealant?

On the Syncro, sealing the starter to clutch housing is more crucial
due to possible
water ingress?  (rivers what not)
