Subject: VAN STALLED AND WON'T START ?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

MY 86 ADVENTUREWAGEN WITH A SUBI 2.5 STALLED AND WOULD NOT START. THE FUEL PUMP WAS NOT WORKING AND I HAVE HAD IT FAIL BEFORE SO I BOUGHT A NEW ONE AND PUT IT ON. WELL IT TOO DIDNT WORK SO I RAN A JUMPER TO THE PUMP AND STILL NO START. I PULLED THE WIRE FROM THE COIL AND NO SPARK. I HAVE BEEN MESSING WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH AND WIRES AND THINK THAT WITH NO FUEL AND NO SPARK SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG WITH IT.

THOUGHT I WOULD ASK HERE FOR ANY IDEAS BEFORE I TRY TO PULL AN IGNITION SWITCH FROM A DONER VAN AND SEE IF IT WORKS. ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW IF IT IS EASY TO SWITCH THE TUMBLERS FROM MY SWITH TO THE DONOR SO I CAN USE MY SAME KEY. I;M NOT SURE IF THE DONOR SWITCH HAS A KEY FOR IT OR NOT.

THANKS FOR ANY INTEL OT IDEAS WITH THIS DELIMA. aT LEAST WHEN MY VAN DOES DIE IT IS USUALLY NEAR HOME.
