I assume it's possible to remove that starter bushing, drivetrain mounted, but it's not needed in your case. ( A shop did a starter bushing R&R on my 88. The bill wasn't much. My guess is they used a small slide hammer clutch pilot bearing removal type tool) Since the bushing sits unused most of the time, by design, it should never fall out.
