There was an effort these years to reduce price, especially the Syncros. I have seen some that even had cloth seats and rubber floor mats. Dennis
dennis...all carats came standard with alloy wheels in the USA. ..that was part of the Carat package...as with the grey velour seats and grey carpet. and power windows mirrors and locks too.. all standard on the carats. the reason john's carat is missing the alloys is simply because someone swapped them out for steelies long ago. simple as that. i think your thinking about the '90-'91 Non-GL vanagon with jumpseats. that's the one with the cloth (tweed) interior and rubber floor mats.. (and chrome bumpers and no armrests or tach or side table or dashpad) i have, however, seen '87 Wolfsburgs (essentially a carat before they called them carats) that came with steel wheels and plastic wheelcovers. on the '87 wolfys the alloys were an option. so was a/c believe it or not.. the '87 wolfys also do not have the full sideskirts. just front and rear bumpers and front door trims. |
