small parking lights on either side of the car. Typical on Mercedes of the 50's to 80's.

I started it by talking about how a Porsche 944 turn signal lever turns into a pakring light switch for one side or the other .. 'by itself' ...

speaking of French lighting oddities.. a Citroen DS 19 o4 21 has a stalk on the left for parking lights, low beams, high beams. it rotates, and it pushes away, or pulls toward you.

on the first qtr turn of roation .. pushing away or pulling toward you swithces from parking lights to low beams ( for use in cities I beleive ) on the second qtr turn of roation .. it switches between high and low beams.

There is also a two stage horn .. a tiny beep for in town, a big blast for highway. that's on the right stalk .

there is no horn button on the single spoke steering wheel. They sure love doing things differently !
