I was told by a dealer that the VW 3-point cannot be installed in a Campmobile. I installed the GoWesty 3-point system on both sides. Since the driver side belt runs through the rear cabinet, the upper portion of the cabinet cannot be used without interfering with the belt action. The belt release locks up if anything is touching the belt in that area. It also makes the seat more difficult to manipulate, as the belt binds on the seat. The reels (or the reel covers anyway) are of poor quality. I don't know whether I have improved safety for the driver's side passenger or not. We seldom have anyone in the rear seat. I will not transport both my grandchildren in the van at the same time, since I cannot put both car seats in without using the driver's side rear passenger position, and I don't trust that belt.
