As you have been told, the easiest way is to pull a door handle and get the 4 digit code from that. Many locksmiths will tell you that the 4 digits are not a viable code. It must be proceeded by the letter N to be correct. The key should be cut on an X110 blank, not an X9 like some locksmiths will try to do. The ignition can be removed without a key, but it will be a major pain. You'll need to remove the clamshell housing around the steering column and anything in the way of the housing. In line with the top of the keyway, measure back 5/8". CAREFULLY drill a 3/16 hole (size not terribly critical) just through the thin metal of the housing casting. DO NOT DRILL AND FURTHER THAN IS NECESSARY TO PENETRATE THE INITIAL LAYER OF THE CASTING. That will reveal a leaf spring. Depress the spring while pulling and slightly prying the bezel of the ignition lock and it will come out of the housing. You can then use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the locking mechanism in the housing. I'd really suggest removing a door handle and code cutting a key.
