Anyone want to weigh in on what the oil level should be in the final drive of an automatic transaxle? Before I left for FL, the level was about ¼ inch or so below the oil plug. I filled it up to just overflowing. About 4-500 miles into the trip, I notice the back of the car spotting up. It was hot as h*** on the way down. I checked the oil level down here and it is about ¼ inch below the plug again. So I’m wondering if it should be at this level and that it just vented the excess out.
