The Seller Vasily (aka Vik Viktor), has a less than stellar reputation among the Vanagon enthusiasts on the Facebook groups. I actually know at least two people who appear to have gotten less than they bargained for. 

Bottomline is, assume you are buying from the typical used car dealer and take the usual precautions.
