If all the keys were the same you can remove a door handle and have a locksmith make a key from that.

Hello:

My brother does not have the key to a 1986 Weekender Syncro so the steering is locked and it is urgent that the vehicle be moved. What is the best way to circumvent the steering lock so the vehicle can be towed for repairs.

Also, what is the best way to obtain keys for the vehicle?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Greg in San Diego
