I bought a roll of silver insulation at Home Depot on the advice of a friend who has an '82 Vanagon; I have an '83. It is inexpensive, easy to cut and install, using some fairly stiff wire to hold it in. Unfortunately, I did not save the wrapper, but I can send you a photo of what I have left and how it looks installed. If I can do it, anyone can!

Best,

Bob
