I think so. Haven't had much precip since but I replace the gasket after
finding one ~3" separation between the upper cushion and the lower piece
that grasps the fiberglass. Since the joint between those two pieces is
about 1/2" above the roof I have a hard time understanding how the rain
entered last week.
One complication is that I R&R'd the skylight assy last Spring in order to
install a privacy screen on it and the new gasket GWesty paperwork mentions
to allow the skylight to rest on the gasket before tightening the fasteners
for it. Since I didn't know that last Spring it is likely (and visibly
apparent) there is a slight gap in one corner where the skylight seats on
the gasket cushion.
After more intense rain I should have a better idea of my situation. My
guess is you R&R's more than necessary. BTDT.
