I got. :)

I just installed a rebuilt 2.5L from a 2000 Forester. It was rebuilt by Rocky Mountain Roos in Golden, CO. I used the conversion from Rocky Mountain Westy, which was great as they guided me through the DIY install. I couldn't be happier with them. While I was at it I had the automatic transmission rebuilt with a 3.27.

My first run from Golden to Boulder has a couple of reasonably steep hills. On the steepest, longest one I watched all the cars behind me move to the left lane expecting to pass that tired old Westy. They were in for a surprise as I held 65 up the entire hill at ~3200 RPM. I can't wait to take it up I-70 through the Eisenhower tunnel or over Berthoud Pass to see just what it can do. I recommend this conversion.
