It just occurred to me that I could have a key 'cut' for the missing one to open my glove box.

I've never owned a Vanagon with a lockable glove box so . . .

Why doesn't my OEM ignition key work on it? Should I expect to work on it? Does VW still provide them if I give them the VIN?
