Hi Stuart,
Something similar happened to me. I had put a shorter hold down bolt in the
long bolt hole of the pump bracket and the threads got worn from vibration.
This caused the bracket to loosen and cause the misalignment. The bracket
was obviously loose in my case. Hope this helps.
