I had the EXACT same thing happen.

I could smell fumes after a fill up, so had a tank reseal done and used evap tanks put in, but unfortunately not until a day after taking a drive-turned-deluge. The shop said one had a hole in it, and the other was cracked… but never showed me the cracked one...

When it still ran like poo, $1,900 later, the formerly-thought-to-be-reputable shop in Denver insisted my running issues were because we're full-timers and are overloaded… when I asked "Why does it idle poorly then?" they stuck to their "diagnosis…" Bastages like this are really hard on everyone in our group, I was so mad I pondered selling the bus!

Thought of writing you all about my running problems ever since the gas tank got flooded with water 16 months ago, but was bound to fix it myself.

I put a new set of the GoWesty proprietary injectors in, at the Mid-Ohio race track two weeks ago, and PROBLEM SOLVED!

My tanks were not cracked but the round gasket on top of the EVAP Expansion Tank were split in two on both of them! The vent valve was just flopping around. This creates a funnel for the water, splashed up by the front wheels, to make it's way into the gas tank. > > I believe it would behoove anyone who has not had those EVAP tanks out, to do so.
