Slot. So bent flat bladed driver will work. Or, one of those 1/4" drive short slot screw drivers. Don't use it in the handle, rather hold it with vise grips or better yet 1/4" socket and 1/4" ratchet wrench.

If you find that tightening the screw doesn't fix things then what is going on is that the latch to glass connection is loose. So unscrew that screw, watch out for spring when you take the moveable part of latch off, then tighten fixed portion to glass. I think it's a hex socket headed screw, or might be Phillips. But that's easy to access

The whole in the bottom of the latch is very small though. Are you saying it is a simple screw in there I need to tighten? Philips, flat, not a tiny allen head? > > I had tried a philips and it didn’t seem to grab anything. > > Thanks for any further details. > > Eric Caron > 85 GL Auto Westfalia > >> On Oct 8, 2016, at 7:53 PM, Dan N <dn92610@gmail.com> wrote: >> >> you need a curved screw driver like this >> >> https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-2944-Offset-Screwdriver-3-Piece/dp/B000NY8OQU <https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-2944-Offset-Screwdriver-3-Piece/dp/B000NY8OQU> >> >> tighten it under the latch...
