What Rob is talking about is a very good solution for when you are locked out of your van and locked in it and need to escape out the back. I or others can send you a picture so you can locate where to drill the needed hole. A wire through the hole pulls on the same part that you will pull with a hook when you get the panel off. BTW harbor freight sells a dandy upholstery removal kit that is very strong and also very helpful when the day comes that you have to replace Vanagon window seals.
